Thursday, June 8, 2017: Amaanah Refugee Services Day in Houston!

We are thrilled to announce that June 4th, 2017 was declared to be "Amaanah Refugee Services Day" in Houston! This would be the second year in a row that we have received this honor. This recognition would not have been possible without the Mayor of Houston and the City Council. Thank you to all our supporters in Houston who have contribute to Amaanah's success. We are proud to be part of the most diverse city in America!

Sunday, May 7, 2017: Tough Mudder MVP

The MVP of Amaanah’s Tough Mudder team yesterday was 7-year-old Musa Syed. Musa not only raised $950 for the Awesome Academy, he also ran the mini-mudder course! He’s excited to bring back his classmates for the next one. Musa, thank you for being so awesome!

Sunday, April 30, 2017: Two Amaanah Team Members Graduate from UH

Two of our team members graduated from the University of Houston this weekend! The rest of the team gave them a surprise party. The food for the party was catered by one of the single mothers that were previously in the Transformed program. She now works as a chef at a restaurant and is doing very well for herself! It's amazing how it all comes together. — feeling happy.
