Ghulam will explore the employment and career opportunities that many new Americans pursue and how their experiences impact their financial future. Ghulam will also provide potential solutions that cities and communities can explore to improve resettlement outcomes
With Houston being one of the biggest cities for refugee resettlement in America, Ghulam decides to break down the situation of refugee resettlement from various perspectives, in particular the financial angle, and asks, are refugees really a burden on the American society?

Today, Amaanah received a very special shipment. 2 pallets worth of brand new toys were delivered to us, courtesy of JAKKS Pacific and the Indiana Pacers. All the toys will be gifted to students in the Awesome Academy! Thank you to both these wonderful organizations for their generosity. Elections across the country on Tuesday, November 8 brought victories for many first-time public office holders. In Montana and Virginia, it was also an historic election night for two candidates who came to the United States as refugees. Their winning campaigns represent the immense contributions of refugees who are welcomed to this country after fleeing violence and persecution.
